Why is it called the Buck Moon?}
Traditionally, we have called July’s full Moon the “Full Buck Moon.” This name comes from our Native American and Colonial past when the Moon was used to track the seasons. Bucks are growing new antlers at this time.
July’s Full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon, because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.
Spring Grove Community Park doesn't have a sign along the big roads, and that makes it tricky to find it. It's located on E. Railroad Street. If you come from Hanover via 116, after passing Pixelle( a huge paper factory, on Main Street), make the first right turn after passing the railroad, keep driving towards the end, then make a left turn, keep driving and you will see tons of school buses on the right, the park around there). Basically, after you pass the factory, be prepared to turn right, just looking for lots of school buses, and you are there.
